W50 Race Foam

Energy Impact Systems (EIS) W50 meets and exceeds the SFI 45.2 specification for materials used in energy management for occupant protection in motorsports.  This highly engineered energy managing foam was developed in accordance with higher standards governing the materials that can be used for head and body protection in various motorsports sanctioning bodies.  It is widely used in headrest applications as occupant seating systems.  EIS W50 is a resilient foam, meaning it will not stay deformed after a crash but will return to its original shape, keeping you protected for multiple impacts in a crash.

EIS W50 can be molded to fit complex shapes and designs.  EIS W50 is also available in block and sheets and is easily machined or cut to the desired shape.  With the manufacturing flexibility of EIS W50, it can be engineered to meet specific criteria per a customer’s specifications.  Indention load deflection and crush rate can be adjusted to OPTIMALLY perform in the manner requested by the customer.

BSCI offers CAD/CAM design and high speed machining of EIS W50.  BSCI can quote parts from customer supplied CAD data or we can design your part for you.
